Jacob Kaarsbo
Jacob Kaarsbo is a senior analyst at the Think Tank EUROPA, where he is responsible for the security policy analyses. He works mainly with Danish, European and transatlantic security and defense policy issues.
Jacob has a Master's Degree in Political Science from Aarhus University (1997), and has worked 15 years in the Armed Forces Intelligence Service. Quality Manager, Deputy Head of Counterterrorism, Head of Middle East Analysis and Analyst.
For 25 years, Jacob has worked on security policy issues in many of the world's hotspots. This includes Ukraine, Russia, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and many of the hotspots in Africa.Jacob has also been seconded for Denmark to the UN Security Council (2005-7), seconded to the UN Development Program, UNDP, in Mozambique (1999-2001), and served in the EU Commission and the European Parliament from 1997-1999.
