Macron’s gamble: The French Parliamentary Elections and the consequences for Europe

On the evening of the European Parliamentary election 9th of June after seeing his liberal party loosing and Marine Le Pen's far right RN win over 30% of the vote, French president Emmanuel Macron called a parliamentary election to be held 30th June (1st round) and 7th July (second round). 

Macron described his move as ‘an act of confidence’ in the French voters, while others framed it as a bit of a gamble. What will happen in France if the far right Rassemblement National wins the national election? And what are the consequences for Europe?
