The economic growth is picking up both in the Euro-zone, and with a strong dependency on economic growth in the EU, Denmark is following the positive trend.
But how robust are growth prospects in the Euro-zone?
Despite the economic growth, the EU will still have to tackle main economic challenges such as high levels of unemployment, divergent development among EU-countries, risk of non-performing loans, and not least how to ensure sustainable public finances throughout the union.
Servaas Deroose, the Deputy Director General and responsible for the Euro Area Economy in the European Commission, will give an exclusive briefing on the current Euro area growth prospects and some of the main economic challenges ahead.
The lecture will be followed by an Q&A session.
- Servaas Deroose, Deputy Director General, European Commission.
